INTRODUCTION TO PARA-MEDICAL PROCEDURES
Both men and women can benefit from para‑medical micropigmentation procedures. The para‑medical procedures offered are scar camouflage, hair simulation and areola restoration or repigmentation. Para‑medical procedures are not considered cosmetic, but rather a way to restore and improve the appearance of the tissue, while improving self image and confidence. These procedures are truly a medical miracle. The procedures are safe and generally require 2 ‑ 4 sessions. A wide variety of colors are available, designed specifically for para‑medical procedures, and are approved on the FDA color additive chart. A special prescription strength topical anesthetic is applied to the area to be treated, making the treatment comfortable and relaxing.
Scar Camouflage
Using advanced micropigmentation techniques, scar and tissue discoloration can be dramatically diminished. Scars from surgery or injury can be minimized and softened by implanting custom blended pigments into the scar/tissue. The benefit of this procedure is a more even skin tone that matches and harmonizes with the surrounding tissue, making the scar less noticeable.
Nipple/Areola Restoration
This advanced technique employs micropigmentation as a way to restore the natural appearance of the nipple/areola complex after breast surgery. By using pigments and tints, I can create the illusion of nipple protrusion with a realistic areola on a breast mound without additional surgery. I can achieve a closer color match on a grafted areola, create symmetry, and diffuse the circular scar. This is a wonderful part of the restorative process, and I am happy to be a part of it. This procedure is also beneficial to clients having had nipple necrosis following surgery, those who have irregular or fading areolas, or prefer larger areolas following breast augmentation.
